Description:
Athletic Park, the home of the Wisconsin Woodchucks, is in a residential setting just north of downtown Wausau. The entire park is surrounded by a stone-wall structure which is considered a historical landmark. Athletic Park was built in 1936 with this stone-wall structure being constructed just a few years later. Behind home plate one can find grandstand seating which is covered by a wooden structure built in the 1950s. A vast majority of the ballparks seating is found on the first and third base lines where metal bleachers are located behind the home and visitor dugouts.
