Terradea Salon & Spa is a premier Aveda Concept Salon and Spa located in the historical district, downtown Wausau, next to the Back When Caf. The newly renovated spa, formerly the Black Purl, offers cuts, colors, facials, massage, waxing, manicures and pedicures.

Kelly and Mark Goffin opened the Aveda salon one year ago. They chose Aveda because of Avedas uncompromising mission; To care for the world we live in. Terradea, meaning Earth Goddess, strives to be a green salon using repurposed antiques and reclaimed materials for all of the salon and spa furniture, making a commitment unmatched by other companies. Aveda is the only beauty company and the second in any industry that has received cradle to cradle certification which means that from soil to consumer there is no relevant carbon footprint and all products are derived from ninety percent sustainable harvested ingredients. Aveda also runs their manufacturing and distribution facilities on 100% wind powered energy.

Our spa features a certified massage therapist with ten years experience. She is the only massage therapist in the area to offer Avedas exclusive Chakra Balancing Massage. We also have a licensed nail technician for spa manicures and pedicures. We offer corporate, bridal and private spa parties with in house catering available. A complete retail line of Aveda hair care, skin care and cosmetics is available.

Terradea is open Monday through Friday t 10 A.M. -6 P.M. (after 6pm by appointment only) and Saturday 10 A.M. - 2 P.M. (after 2pm by appointment only). Experience a big city spa, with a relaxing ambience and attention to detail, in the heart of historic downtown Wausau.

Terradea Salon & Spa now has a second location inside the North Star Casino Resort in Bowler. Grand Opening of their new salon is October 1st! Their second location will serve resort clients as well as residents in the Bowler area. Operating hours and appointment availability will be posted soon so check back often!
