08/30/2011 - Fillmor Pub and Eatery downtown Wausau opens kitchen August 31, 2011

If you have been waiting for the official word about when The Fillmor would be opening the kitchen, your wait is over! The Fillmor in downtown Wausau is opening the kitchen Wednesday August 31st for a soft opening with word on a "Grand Opening" coming soon. The Fillmor will feature a wide variety of quality sandwich & wrap choices like the Grilled Yellow Fin Tuna sandwich, the Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich and the Northwoods Wrap. All specialty burgers and sandwiches are served on your choice of sour dough or pretzel bun and include your choice of pasta salad, fruit cup or french fries on the side. The Fillmor Eatery will also feature some traditional central Wisconsin favorites like cheese curds, deep fried pickles and sweet potato fries....and don't forget the Friday Fish Fry! Fish options available each Friday include Walleye, Haddock, Shrimp and a combo Shrimp & Haddock dinner. And I almost forgot to mention the pizza....but this blog post is already getting a bit long so I'll just say that I've tried it and it's amazing!
